The City of Dresden Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve a recycling program for the City of Dresden during their meeting on November 15, 2012. As we enter into this new phase, we realize it is a change in the way households operate as far as trash is concerned. We appreciate your patience as we all adjust to this change.

Barker Brothers began delivering the new recycling cans on December 4, 2012. The recylcling can should be two tone in color (blue can with a green lid). A recycling schedule has been distributed along with the new recycling can. We realize the information contained in the schedule may be confusing as some people have a green or blue trash can. The green and blue on the calendar pertains to recycling or trash pickup and not to the trash can color.

Recycling pickup will begin for all residents Tuesday and Thursday routes on Thursday, December 13th. The recycling can will be the only can placed at the edge of the street or curb on that day. Everyone will go to Thursday pickup beginning the week of December 10, 2012.

Please contact Dresden City Hall at 364-2270 with any questions you have regarding the recycling program. The program will be reviewed at the end of December 2013. Again, we appreciate your patience as we begin this recycling phase.
